Swan Box Spun Cotton figure on a box

This swan figure is made from cotton spun on a wire armature. The figure is detail painted with acrylic and trimmed with new hand-dyed and vintage millinery florals. The wings are Dresden foil and the neck bow is vintage french bullion thread. The oval box sits on a chip base and is painted with a simple fern leaf pattern.

The swan has a tiny basket which could hold a few feather tree sprigs, berry spray or a tiny doll.

Measures 5.5" H x 4.75" W base.
