Spun Cotton Bunny with egg basket

This bunny with egg basket is created from cotton roving spun on a wire armature. The figure is painted with acrylics and various washes.

The bunny is primarily palest pink, almost white, with gray shading. Wearing a ruffled crepe collar with Dresden trim gives a vintage feel to the piece. The bunny, rests atop a mossy dome trimmed with Dresden foil and dyed cotton twill. Vintage blue and white violets the surface. The basket is tiny, hand woven and is filled with miniature eggs.
