Red Tulip Bunny with lavender collar

This handsome bunny is made of cotton spun over a wire armature. He is painted using acrylics and various washes. He holds a (painted) paper tulip bloom and a tiny vintage woven basket with striped egg. The collar is ruffled crepe paper trimmed with Dresden foil and a delicate French bullion thread.
The base is clay and wood, covered in hand dyed batting to look like moss. I used antique white tipped sisal with glass mercury beads
to trim the base and just a few wraps of vintage gold thread for a finishing touch.
The figure measures 5”.
